Circuit Judge Linda L. Gaustad was elected to the bench in 2018. She was previously an assistant public defender in the appellate division and had been in private practice since 2002. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and her law degree from the University of Florida. Judge Gaustad currently hears Probate and Guardianship cases at the Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand and at the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center in Bunnell.
Notice to the Public:
The Code of Judicial Conduct governing behavior by judges forbids Judges from discussing pending cases with the public. Please do not call the Court expecting to speak with a Judge about any case. The Court is only allowed to consider arguments made in the courtroom and in documents properly filed by parties in the case as authorized by law and the Rules of Court. Communications that do not meet these legal requirements cannot be forwarded to the Judge.
