Volusia County Court Judge Angela A. Dempsey was elected to the bench in 2014. She earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2004 and worked for the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program before entering private practice. She currently hears civil cases at the Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand.
