All Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia County courts will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, for Christmas and New Year’s.
WHEREAS, § 744.331(3)(c), Florida Statutes, requires the chief judge to prepare a list of individuals qualified to serve as members of guardianship examining committees;
NOW THEREFORE, I, JAMES R. CLAYTON, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby order that those individuals whose names appear on the list attached hereto as “Exhibit A” are qualified to serve as members of guardianship examining committees in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. Prior to submitting a proposed examining committee to the Court for appointment, petitioners are directed to first consult with each individual named to ascertain his/her willingness and/or availability to serve. Submission of a proposed examining committee will be construed as an indication that such consultation occurred and that each committee member consented to the appointment.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that in-person, video, internet and all other examining committee training and education courses that meet statutory criteria are hereby approved and accepted in the Seventh Judicial Circuit.
