Circuit Judge Joan Anthony was elected to the bench in 2020. She earned her undergraduate degree from Bethune-Cookman College and her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1988 and maintained a private law practice prior to her election. She currently hears Juvenile cases at the Steven C. Henderson Judicial Center in Daytona Beach.

Effective November 1, 2021 hearings scheduled in front of Judge Anthony, excluding CMC’s and Pretrials, will require in-person appearances, as permitted by the latest Seventh Judicial Circuit Administrative Order (C-2021-056).
