Re: Disposition of Uniform Traffic Citations

Ref: T-2025-006-SC (Rescinds T-2022-006-VL)

        WHEREAS, this Administrative Order addresses the disposition of Uniform Traffic Citations not disposed of pursuant to Chapter 318, Florida Statutes;

        NOW THEREFORE, I, LEAH R. CASE, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby order the Clerks Court in Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia counties to dismiss civil traffic citations and waive accompanying fines and/or costs which remain unpaid, in accordance with the following:

  1. Civil traffic infraction citations with outstanding or unsatisfied D-6s seven (7) years after the submission of the D-6 by the clerk’s office to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
  2. Civil traffic infraction citations that were issued to anyone who died subsequently. Proof of Death consists of a death certificate or any official notification of death by a governmental entity.

 

TO BE RECORDED in Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia Counties, Florida.
