IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF FLORIDA, SEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR FLAGLER COUNTY

Re: ASSIGNMENT OF CASES IN FLAGLER COUNTY COURT

Ref: G-2022-018-F

            WHEREAS, it has been made known to the undersigned that the prompt and expeditious administration of justice in Flagler County requires the publication of a case assignment order for the divisions of the Flagler County Court;

            NOW THEREFORE, I, JAMES R. CLAYTON, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby order that criminal and civil cases filed in Flagler County Court are to be assigned as follows:

  1. All criminal cases are to be assigned to Division 60.
  2. All civil cases, including civil infractions, are to be assigned to Division 61.  Civil cases previously assigned to Division 60 are to be reassigned to Division 61.
  3. Weekday First Appearance assignments are to be shared equally by both Flagler County Court Judges.
  4. The Clerk of Court’s office is to assign cases as specified in this Order.  If any uncertainty or ambiguity arises concerning the assignment of a case, the matter should be referred to the Court Administrator’s office for resolution by the Chief Judge {see Kruckenberg v. Powell, 422 So. 2d 994 (Fla. 5 DCA 1982)}.
