WHEREAS, §§ 741.30(8)(a)1, 784.046(8)(a)1, and 784.0485(8)(a)1, Florida Statutes provide that the chief judge of each judicial circuit may authorize law enforcement agencies within his/her judicial circuit to effect service of process of injunctions for protection against domestic violence, repeat violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking;
NOW THEREFORE, I, LEAH R. CASE, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby designate the Sheriffs’ departments of Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties as the primary entities responsible for the service of process of injunctions for protection issued by judges of the Seventh Judicial Circuit.
FURTHERMORE, municipal law enforcement agencies within Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties are also authorized to effect service of process of injunctions for protection within their respective jurisdictions. Law enforcement officers with municipal police departments serving injunctions pursuant to this Order must use procedures consistent with those of the Sheriff’s office of the county in which they are located.
