IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF FLORIDA, SEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR FLAGLER, PUTNAM, ST. JOHNS, AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES

Re: APPOINTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE FAMILY JUDGE

Ref: FM-2025-002-SC

            WHEREAS, chief judges are authorized to appoint administrative judges pursuant to Rule 2.215(b)(5), Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration, and

            WHEREAS, the undersigned has determined that the appointment of an administrative judge for the family division is in the best interest of the Seventh Judicial Circuit;

            NOW THEREFORE, I, LEAH R. CASE, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby appoint Judge Christopher Kelly as Administrative Judge of the Family Division in the Seventh Judicial Circuit.  The duties of the Administrative Judge of the Family Division include, but are not limited to, the following:

    1. Chairing at least one meeting per year of the circuit’s Family Law Advisory Group (FLAG),
    2. Coordinating and overseeing the operation of the family division,
    3. Recommending proposed policies, procedures, and administrative orders related to the operation of the family division,
    4. Facilitating communications with appropriate entities concerning the operation of the family division,
    5. Assisting with the training and orientation of judges newly assigned to the family division, and
    6. Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the Chief Judge.
