Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia County courts will be closed Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday. Courts (courthouses) throughout the Seventh Circuit will resume normal operations on Monday, April 6.
WHEREAS, Chapter 2013-25, Laws of Florida, repeals several statutes related to “terms of court,” but also imposes a requirement that chief judges “regularly order the convening of the grand jury for a term of 6 months”;
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERENCE R. PERKINS, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby order that pursuant to § 905.01(3), Florida Statutes, grand juries in the counties of the Seventh Judicial Circuit are to be convened in accordance with the following schedule:
Flagler County – first Monday in April
Putnam County – second Monday in April
St. Johns County – third Monday in April
Volusia County – fourth Monday in April
Flagler County – first Monday in October
Putnam County – second Monday in October
St. Johns County – third Monday in October
Volusia County – fourth Monday in October
