The Seventh Judicial Circuit — which serves Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia counties — is proud to participate in Problem-Solving Court Month, recognizing the impact of its innovative court programs throughout May 2025. With decades of success, the Circuit’s problem-solving courts continue to lead efforts that restore lives, reduce crime, and strengthen communities through a collaborative approach.
“Our problem-solving courts are built on accountability and structure,” said Chief Judge Leah R. Case. “They provide people with the opportunity to succeed, and our communities are safer and healthier because of that.”
The Circuit is proud to highlight a major milestone coming this summer. Volusia County Drug Court will host its 100th graduation on June 13. This event will honor past and current participants, presiding judges, and the many community partners who’ve contributed to the program’s longevity. Media are encouraged to attend. More details will be shared as the date approaches.
Since their inception, courts across the Seventh Circuit have reached major milestones:
Globally, more than 4,000 treatment courts are in operation, serving over 150,000 individuals each year. These programs have been shown to reduce crime and save money.
The Seventh Judicial Circuit remains at the forefront of innovative justice solutions, investing in people, improving public safety, and creating pathways to recovery.
