All Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia County courts will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, for Christmas and New Year’s.
Circuit Judge Joan Anthony was elected to the bench in 2020 and began her term in January 2021. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1988 and maintained a private law practice prior to her election. She earned her undergraduate degree from Bethune Cookman College and her law degree from Howard University School of Law. Judge Anthony currently presides over a Unified Family Court division at the Steven C. Henderson Judicial Center in Daytona Beach.
Effective November 1, 2021 hearings scheduled in front of Judge Anthony, excluding CMC’s and Pretrials, will require in-person appearances, as permitted by the latest Seventh Judicial Circuit Administrative Order (C-2021-056).
