Circuit Judge Elizabeth A. Blackburn was appointed to the bench in 2015. Prior to becoming a judge, she was a prosecutor and homicide division chief in the State Attorney’s Office of the Seventh Judicial Circuit. She worked in private practice for more than 20 years. She is board certified in Marital and Family Law and has served as chair of the Family Law Rules Committee of the Florida Bar. Judge Blackburn has an undergraduate and a master’s degree from the University of Kansas and a juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law. She currently hears criminal and drug court cases at the S. James Foxman Justice Center in Daytona Beach.
