Volusia County Court Judge Angela A. Dempsey was elected to the bench in 2014. She received a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Florida State University and her juris doctor with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. An attorney since 2004, she worked as an attorney for the Florida Department of Children and Families and for the Florida Guardian ad Litem program, handling dependency cases. She then went into private practice. Judge Dempsey currently hears civil cases at the Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand.
All PIP Pre-trials, Glass Pre-trials, Case Managements and LOP hearings will be held via zoom.
