Court Reporting Services
Court Reporting Services are responsible for creating the verbatim record of court proceedings required to be reported/recorded at public expense in Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties. This is accomplished through the use of digital court recording and includes the following proceedings:
- Criminal (felony & misdemeanor)
- Juvenile Delinquency
- Juvenile Dependency & TPR
- Domestic Violence Injunction for Protection
- Guardianship (§ 744.109(1), F.S.)
- Mental Health/Baker Act
- Substance Abuse/Marchman Act
- Adult Protective Services Act
- General Magistrate
- Child Support Hearing Officer
Stenographic reporters cover all death penalty trials and capital post-conviction relief proceedings.
Digital recording technology is used in all other proceedings listed above.
The Digital Court Reporting Office does not produce written transcripts. To obtain a written transcript, you must first order a digital/audio recording of the court event. The recording will need to be provided to a stenographic reporter of your choosing, who can prepare the written transcript for you.
