Seventh Judicial Circuit Judge Stasia Warren Announces Retirement Effective June 5, 2025

05/20/2025

Seventh Judicial Circuit Judge Stasia Warren is retiring effective June 5, 2025.

Judge Warren began her judicial service in 1991 as a Volusia County Court Judge, where she served for over two decades before stepping down in 2012. She returned to the bench in 2017 when elected as a Circuit Judge, presiding primarily over family law cases in Volusia County.
Prior to becoming a judge, she served as a prosecutor in the Seventh Judicial Circuit for six years and spent four years in private practice. Warren received her law degree from the Detroit College of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1980.

Chief Judge Leah R. Case remarked: “Judge Warren’s retirement concludes an impressive judicial career marked by integrity, compassion, and consistent dedication to our community. Her extensive experience and wise counsel have greatly benefited our circuit and its citizens. We hope she’ll consider returning as a Senior Judge.”

Judge Warren’s position will be filled by gubernatorial appointment. The Judicial Nominating Commission is currently accepting applications to fill the vacancy. The application deadline is Monday, June 23, 2025, at 9:00 am EST. For more information, visit: https://circuit7.org/wp-content/uploads/JNC7-Notice-of-Vacancy.pdf.
