IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF FLORIDA, SEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR VOLUSIA COUNTY

Ref: PB-2022-014-V

        WHEREAS, the Supreme Court of Florida has adopted Rules 2.250 and 2.545, Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration, setting case time standards and requiring the trial courts to take charge of all cases in order to monitor and control the pace of litigation, and

        NOW, THEREFORE, I, JAMES R. CLAYTON, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit, hereby direct the clerk as follows:

  1. The Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Volusia County, shall review all estate files to determine if these cases have been concluded within the case time standards. In performing the review, if the clerk finds that a case has not been concluded within the time standards, the attached “ORDER TO FILE DOCUMENTS” shall be submitted to the assigned judge for his/her consideration.

 

  1. If the personal representative or attorney fail to comply with the ORDER TO FILE DOCUMENTS, the clerk shall forward the attached “ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE” to the assigned judge for his/her consideration.
