St. Johns County Court Judge Alexander R. Christine, Jr. was appointed in 2010 and took his seat on the Bench in 2011. Judge Christine was unopposed in his 2012 and 2018 elections. Judge Christine earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky Magna Cum Laude and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law with honors in Legal Research and Writing, and Moot Court. Before his appointment, he was a Chief Prosecutor for the State Attorney’s Office of the Seventh Judicial Circuit and thereafter in private practice for more than 20 years. Judge Christine has served on numerous charitable and governmental boards including as an elected City Commissioner for the City of St. Augustine, St. Johns County Florida. He currently hears criminal and civil cases at the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center in St. Augustine. Judge Christine also presides over the St. Johns County Adult Drug Court and Marchman Act Court, Chairs the St. Johns County Public Safety Coordinating Counsel and is a current member of the Mental Health Court Collaborative Planning Committee.
