Ref: CR-2017-018-SC

WHEREAS, it has been made known to the undersigned that issuance of an administrative order authorizing the Warrants Divisions of the respective Sheriffs’ Offices to correct obvious scriveners’ errors on warrants is in the best interest of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court;

NOW THEREFORE, I, TERENCE R. Examples of said errors include, but are not limited to, obvious typographical errors or simple transpositions of numbers.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that in instances where the existence of a scrivener’s error is not readily ascertainable, or where a more substantial correction is necessary, the warrant is to be returned to the issuing judge for further action.
