Circuit Judge Dawn D. Nichols was appointed to the bench in 2014. She earned her undergraduate degree and her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1993 and worked in private practice after serving as an Assistant Public Defender. She is board-certified in marital and family law. She currently hears criminal and Drug Court cases at the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center in Bunnell, and also serves as the Administrative Judge for Flagler County.
