Circuit Judge Alicia Washington was elected to the bench in 2020. She earned her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and her Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1998 and worked in private practice while also serving as a Guardian ad Litem attorney. She previously served as an Assistant State Attorney and an Assistant Public Defender. She currently hears criminal cases at the Putnam County Courthouse in Palatka, and also serves as Administrative Judge for Putnam County.
