Circuit Judge Alicia Washington was elected to the bench in 2020 and began her term in January 2021. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1998 and served as a Guardian Ad Litem attorney, while also maintaining a private law practice prior to her election. She previously served as an assistant State Attorney, as well as an assistant Public Defender. She earned her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and her law degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Judge Washington currently presides in a felony division at the Putnam County Courthouse in Palatka.
