WHEREAS, § 102.141(1), Florida Statutes, sets forth the membership of county canvassing boards, and
WHEREAS, the undersigned has been advised of the need to appoint a “qualified elector” to serve as a “substitute member” on the Volusia County Canvassing Board for activities related to the 2024 March Presidential Primary, August Primary, and November General Elections due to the unavailability of any member of the Volusia County Council to serve in that capacity;
NOW THEREFORE, I, JAMES R. CLAYTON, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, pursuant to the provisions of § 102.141(1)(d), Florida Statutes, hereby assign and designate Mr. Frank Bruno as a substitute member of the Volusia County Canvassing Board for all meetings associated with the 2024 Presidential Primary, August Primary, and November General Elections.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Mr. Bruno shall assume such duties and responsibilities as set forth in Florida Statutes as a substitute member of the Volusia County Canvassing Board and shall continue as a member of said canvassing board until his duties conclude.
