WHEREAS, it has been made known to the undersigned that the prompt and expeditious administration of justice in the Seventh Judicial Circuit (Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia counties) requires the temporary cross-assignment of Circuit Court judges as Acting County Court judges, and of County Court judges as Acting County Court judges of other counties and Acting Circuit judges;
NOW THEREFORE, I, LEAH R. CASE, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, pursuant to the authority vested in me under Rule 2.215(b)(4), Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, do hereby assign and designate each circuit judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit as an acting county court judge of Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia counties. Said judges are hereby authorized to hear, conduct, try, and determine county court cases that are brought before them as temporary judges of said county courts and thereafter to dispose of all matters considered by them from January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2024.
FURTHERMORE, I hereby assign and designate each county court judge of Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia counties as an acting county court judge in each of the other counties within the Seventh Judicial Circuit. Said judges are hereby authorized to hear, conduct, try, and determine county court cases that are brought before them as temporary judges of said county courts and thereafter to dispose of all matters considered by them from January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2024.
FURTHERMORE, I hereby assign and designate each county court judge of Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia counties as an acting circuit judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit. Said judges are hereby authorized to hear, conduct, try, and determine circuit court cases that are brought before them as temporary judges of the circuit court and thereafter to dispose of all matters considered by them from January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2024.
Each judge, under and by virtue of the authority hereof, is hereby vested with all the powers and prerogatives conferred by the State of Florida upon the judges of the courts to which each judge is assigned.
