WHEREAS, it has been suggested that standardized programming be made available in the justice system to protect domestic violence victims and their children and to hold the perpetrators of domestic violence accountable for their acts, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statutes, requirements for the provision of batterers’ intervention programs have been established, and
WHEREAS, the court, or any entity designated by the court, must provide respondents ordered to attend a batterers’ intervention program with a list of available program providers;
NOW THEREFORE, I, TERENCE R. PERKINS, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby designate the Court Administrator’s Office of the Seventh Judicial Circuit as the entity responsible for maintaining a list of batterers’ intervention program providers who meet the requirements of § 741.325, Florida Statutes, for use by the court. Inclusion on or removal from the list is at the sole discretion of the Chief Judge or his designee.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that individuals who wish to be considered for inclusion on the above-referenced batterers’ intervention program provider list must complete the attached batterers’ intervention program provider application (PDF) and submit it to: Court Administration, 125 E. Orange Avenue; Room 201, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Any batterers’ intervention program provider included on the list must submit an Affidavit of Compliance (PDF), a copy of which is attached hereto, to Court Administration by June 30th each year. Failure to update necessary information or provide the Affidavit of Compliance, as required, will result in removal from the list of batterers’ intervention program providers.
