Putnam County Court Judge Joe Boatwright was elected to the bench in 2012. Before becoming a judge, he worked for the State Attorney’s Office in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. He also spent time in private practice. Judge Boatwright earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and a juris doctor from Catholic University. Additionally, he has a master of laws degree in taxation from the University of Florida College of Law. Judge Boatwright currently hears criminal and civil traffic cases at the Putnam County Courthouse in Palatka.
