St. Johns County Court Judge Charles J. Tinlin was elected to the bench in 1990. Before becoming a judge, he was in private practice and an assistant state attorney. He earned an undergraduate degree from Flagler College and a juris doctor from the California Western School of Law. Judge Tinlin currently hears criminal and civil cases at the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center in St. Augustine.
