This Putnam County-funded position includes the County’s benefits package. The successful applicant is required to undergo a background check including fingerprinting.

RE-ADVERTISEMENT – PREVIOUS APPLICANT NEED NOT RE-APPLY. The full-time position reports directly to the Drug Court Manager and assists with administrative functions associated with the program. The coordinator works closely with the assigned Judge and keeps Drug Court Team members informed concerning program related matters to include training opportunities. Typical duties include consensus building; adhering to a budget, supervising, and providing case management services with program participants; managing the system of frequent random drug testing, maintaining data in the program’s database; compiling progress reports; and organizing programming related events such as team meetings. Other responsibilities involve maintaining program related documentation such as the participant handbook, team member manual and the participation agreement. The ability to solve problems related to program processes and stakeholder viewpoints are also necessary. This position manages the program’s intake process, encourages community members to support the program and assists with analyzing program effectiveness. Hours may include periodic weekends and holidays. The position will be headquartered in Palatka. Headquarters are subject to change based upon the needs of the court.

Minimum Requirements:
Any combination of related college education (such as in the social sciences, business, psychology, public administration, etc.) and/or relevant experience totaling 6 years.
The preferred applicant will have knowledge of laws and procedures relating to drug courts, maintenance of confidential court records, addictions treatment and mental health services.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Applicants should possess a basic knowledge of court operations. Must have the ability to coordinate court activities with various agencies involved when scheduling court events. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, build consensus, maintain work relationships, meet deadlines and handle sensitive matters with integrity, tact and patience. Must have the ability to compose written reports on the case management activities of the court. Ability to use the Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications required.
